Stockholm gets a sake festival, and a date

Sweden's first, on the thirteenth and fourteenth floor

Words and photographs by Angela Tabak

TAK Stockholm has put a date on what it calls Sweden’s first and only sake festival: 8 and 9 May 2027, across floors thirteen and fourteen. Breweries come over from Japan, there are free lectures alongside ticketed masterclasses, and the food court is run by restaurants from the city.

Worth noting if you are planning: some listings have it as 7 and 8 May. The venue’s own page says 8 and 9, so that is what we have put in the calendar until the organiser says otherwise.

That makes three sake weeks and a festival within reach of a cheap flight next spring, which is more than there were two years ago.
